Depression Counselling

We can all feel miserable, get down and have feelings of sadness from time to time. Usually these don’t last longer than a few days or possibly up to a week and usually we can clearly identify what has lead us to feel like this. With support from family and friends we can overcome these problems without seeking professional help.

However, if our mood is very low for longer periods and has started to impact on our ability to get on with our normal day to day lives we may be experiencing depression or be depressed. If we feel we are depressed and suffer from some of the following symptoms it may help to speak with a counsellor; tiredness or fatigue with no physical cause, sleeping too little or too much or disturbed sleep, feelings of sadness or hopelessness, poor motivation, difficulty concentrating and losing interest in things we enjoy or our daily activities.
